Congratulations to Zihao and collaborators, includ Congratulations to Zihao and collaborators, including our former REU student Aaron! Most magnetic materials have an anomalous Hall conductivity below 1000 S/cm. They found a giant field induced anomalous Hall conductivity of more than 100 000 S/cm in the noncentrosymmetric Weyl metal CeCoGe3. Amazing but also very puzzling! Smart people, please explain!
Congratulations to Sudheer and collaborators, incl Congratulations to Sudheer and collaborators, including Zihao! Weyl semimetals such as Co3Sn2S2 have surface states arising from the topology in the bulk. But these surface states depend on the chemical composition of the surface, which depends on the cleaved surface: is it a Sn layer, or a S layer? What about disorder and a little bit of both? They address these questions with ARPES and XPS.
Congratulations to Yunshu and collaborators! They Congratulations to Yunshu and collaborators! They report on the electrical transport properties of LaNiGa2, a topological crystalline superconductor. Her crystals are the best quality samples reported so far!
Congratulations to Stelo! She was awarded the Robe Congratulations to Stelo! She was awarded the Robert and Adrian Shelton prize, and received a Department citation! Both awards are well deserved! We are so proud of you!

Congratulations to Jingcheng and collaborators, in Congratulations to Jingcheng and collaborators, including Hanshang and Stelo! They used scanning NV magnetometry to image domain switching in the chiral antiferromagnet Mn3Sn. The switching was induced by spin-orbit torque using spin currents generated from Hanshang’s and Stelo’s crystals of WTe2!
Congratulations to Kyoka and collaborators! She in Congratulations to Kyoka and collaborators! She introduces a quantitative criterion to evidence whether or not a predicted compound has been synthesized. It’s compatible with autonomous synthesis platforms to check predictions more efficiently. And the results are in: theoretical calculations have a lot more progress to do!
What a way to finish your undergraduate years, Kyoka! With a first author paper! So proud of you! And continue in graduate school!
